Students Princes D. Rodriguez, Valerie Anderson, J. Riley Kratz, and Lydia Serviss, along with faculty mentors Dr. Renn Tumlison and Dr. Brett Serviss delivered the results of their research at annual meeting.
McNair Scholars at Henderson State are required to present their research at the annual conference. It gives them the opportunity to network and make connections with more than 100 graduate schools.
The institute will be held July 16-21 at the Dawson Cooperative in downtown Arkadelphia. The summer sessions are in person, with four virtual follow-up sessions on Sept. 13, Nov. 1, Feb. 7, and April 4.
Events range from ensemble performances to student recitals. Attendance is free and open to the public.
Dr. Joe Campbell is an assistant professor and chair of Counselor Education at Henderson State University. The program offers two degree tracks: School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Both tracks lead toward professional licensure.
Transfer enrollment has reached a five-year high point with 66 transfer students enrolled for Spring 2025. This reflects a 43 percent increase year-over-year and tops a high of 64 transfer students enrolled in Spring 2023.
Students from across the state will give short, oral presentations or present posters describing their research. Registration deadline is March 3, and abstracts must be submitted by February 28.
