Michael Brotherton is conducting research under the direction of Dr. Brett Serviss, a professor in Henderson’s new Natural Sciences program. They recently co-authored a paper entitled “A First Report of Hibiscus mutabilis (Malvaceae) from Arkansas,” which was published in the floristics and taxonomy journal "Phytoneuron."
Arkansas State University System President Chuck Welch today announced the appointment of Arkadelphia native and longtime higher education administrator Dr. Trey Berry as Henderson State University’s next chancellor, effective Jan. 1, 2024.
CHI St. Vincent Pathways Program benefits up to eight senior nursing students at Henderson State each year who make commitment to program.
The winning design will be used on t-shirts to be distributed April 8, 2024, when Henderson hosts a special viewing event for the public on campus. The deadline to enter the t-shirt design contest is Nov. 15.
Ten finalists will be announced Oct. 12 during the annual homecoming pep rally. The introduction of the full court, followed by the coronation ceremony, will take place during football pre-game festivities on Oct. 14 when the Reddies host Southern Arkansas University at 2 p.m. at Carpenter-Haygood Stadium.
Marini will be accompanied by the Arkansas All-Star Big Band which includes several Henderson alumni and current and former faculty. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online.
Several of the campus’s buildings are good examples of mid-century architectural styles designed by some of the state’s most notable architects.
