The Higher Learning Commission has placed Henderson State University in the Open Pathway process for accreditation. The Open Pathway is only available to institutions in good standing and have been accredited by the HLC for more than ten years. Henderson will have to write an assurance argument and provide evidence that demonstrates all five criterion for accreditation have been met. Henderson also is required to complete a Quality Initiative during years five through nine, which was completed during the HLC Persistence and Completion Academy.
