“Our students, before graduating, will be able to say they have completed an internship/mentorship experience, earned at least one industry credential, worked on a consulting-based project, and participated in a global, collaborative team,” said Dr. Nathan Campbell.
Shows are scheduled for Sept. 21, Oct. 19, and Nov. 16. Each presentation will offer two viewings at 12:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., and are free and open to the public.
“Our nursing team is stronger than ever, and I can’t wait to see where the future will take us,” said Dr. Kristina Shelton, chief academic nursing officer and assistant professor of nursing.
Fisher, a Henderson alumnus, most recently served 21 years as president of Belmont University. He also served as dean of Henderson's School of Business for 10 years, and was vice president for academic affairs at Arkansas State University.
The Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Sciences will serve students pursuing prerequisites for professional programs and careers in the health sciences with discipline-specific tracks. The Bachelor of Science in Education degree with a focus on mathematics places emphasis on teacher preparation and math content courses.
Henderson State University Chancellor Chuck Ambrose has announced plans to step aside, effective Sept. 15. A search process will begin soon.
Reddie Outreach Center (ROC) will help point students in the right direction on campus, while also providing critical assistance such as a food pantry, clothes closet, and a life skills education center.
Nevada Mills, a Henderson alumnus, will direct the Showband of Arkansas, Wind Ensemble, Symphony Band, and the Reddie Pep Band, along with teaching instrumental methods courses and supervising teacher interns.
Flowers will oversee the development of student recruitment strategies and procedures that lead to enrollment, implementation of innovative and evidence-based recruitment programs, and activities that engage the campus community.
Lacy is responsible for coordinating and implementing student engagement center programs and campus life activities. Lee will oversee activities for all Greek organizations on campus.
To be named to the Chancellor’s List, a student must have achieved a 4.0 grade point average for the entire semester. To make the Honor Roll, a student must have received at least a 3.5 grade point average for the semester.
As Chief Fundraising Officer, Jackson will lead operations in the areas of annual and planned giving, major gifts, corporate and foundation relations, campaign planning and implementation, and alumni and friend engagement.
The ceremony starts at 7 p.m. Approximately 460 undergraduate and graduate students will receive their degrees.
Outstanding student awards were presented to Blaise Smith, Carson Bearden, Jinna Boonbumroongsuk, Hayden Hilson, Trey Gaston, and Mei Atsuta.
