COVID-19 Operational Plan

  • All students seeking an appointment should call (870) 230-5102.

  • Fully vaccinated students and employees who have been exposed to COVID-19 and have NO symptoms are not required to quarantine.

  • COVID-19 testing will be available for students exposed or showing COVID-19 symptoms at the Student Health and Wellness and will be provided via a drive-through service. All others, please refer to our referral sheet for testing centers.

  • The Arkansas Department of Health will provide contact tracing (18 and under) with assistance from Student Health and Wellness once a positive case is identified.

  • Students who require isolation/quarantine will receive guidance and assistance from both the Arkansas Department of Health and Student Health and Wellness.

  • Housing will hold a small number of suites and apartments in a variety of buildings to use as potential quarantine spaces.

  • All students in any stage of testing, isolation, or quarantine will be expected to leave campus until they are cleared to return. Students should create a personal plan in advance for housing arrangements off campus in the event that they test positive for COVID-19 or are exposed to someone who is positive for COVID-19.

  • Housing will work with students who cannot go home on a case-by-case basis to place them in isolation rooms. Student Health and Wellness staff will provide documents and info on next steps for each student.

  • Housing staff will deliver meals and remove trash from students in quarantine or isolation daily. We will work with students on a case-by-case basis for other necessities, if a student should run out of an item while in quarantine or isolation.
