Our program tracks are designed to train future nurses and prepare both future and practicing nurses for the professional world by providing opportunities for hands-on experience in hospitals or clinical settings. 

Mission Statement

The mission of the Department of Nursing at Henderson State University is to prepare baccalaureate and graduate level nurses by providing a professional nursing education in a caring environment.

Degree Completion Tracks

  • BSN on campus in Arkadelphia/LPN to BSN on campus
  • RN to BSN online with flexible practicum projects, completed in three semesters
  • Dual enrollment with National Park College
  • Master of Science in Nursing online

Virtual Evaluation

Henderson State University has planned a virtual evaluation of the baccalaureate degree program in nursing with the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) for November 3 to 5, 2021. Please note that in the CCNE accreditation process, there is an opportunity for program constituents and other interested parties to submit written comments concerning a program’s qualifications for accreditation.

Written third-party comments will be received by CCNE 21 days before the scheduled evaluation and must be received by CCNE by October 13, 2021. All comments are to be directed to thirdpartycomments@ccneaccreditation.org.

All third-party comments submitted to CCNE must be written in English, consistent with CCNE's policy on Conduct of Business in English.
