SATURDAY, AUGUST 13

FIRST-YEAR MOVE-IN
Location: Henderson State Campus
Time: 8:00am - 1:00pm
Move-in for the residence halls begins the Saturday before classes start for first-year students. Bring friends and family to help you move your belongings, but we will also have HSU volunteers to help you do that. For more information, contact Residence Life at 870-230-5083.
*Students who participate in band, some athletic teams, and other organizations may have earlier move-in times. Check with your coach or director if you think that applies to you.

FAMILY BON VOYAGE
Location: Campus Dining Hall 
Time: 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM 
An opportunity for family & freshman students to have lunch together before wishing them a bon voyage (send off for families). Lunch for our freshman students' families will be covered by HSU. For more information, please contact 870-230-5289.

MOVIE NIGHT

NERF WARS
Location: Charles D. Dunn Student Recreation Center
Time: 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM

HELP A REDDIE
Location: Outside of Campus Dining Hall and Quad
Time: 7:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Stop by any of our three stations to get the answers you need. Our Volunteers can help with directions, building codes, academic and administrative services information, class locations and many other issues Reddie Students may encounter in their first two class days. Our Volunteers will be ready to Help a Reddie! This event is hosted by the Student Government Association.

FRESHMAN HEART PHOTO
Location: South Lawn
Time: 3:00 PM
Grab your red, freshman t-shirt and become a part of the School with a Heart. This is a traditional annual photo you do not want to miss. Popsicles and water provided.

PINE TREE ASSEMBLY
Location: Arkansas Hall
Time: 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Be inspired and learn how to be the ultimate Reddie at the Pine Tree Speech. This is an annual tradition at Henderson State University you do not want to miss. WATERMELON FEAST & REDDIEOKE

Hosted by the Student Activities Board, this event you do not want to miss. Come enjoy some watermelon and stay for the fun. If you know and enjoy doing karaoke, then this is the event for you. STUDENT ORGANIZATION FAIR

This is one of the best opportunities to get involved in campus life at Henderson State. Student Organizations set up displays and have members on site talk to visitors one on one about what their organization does on campus. Involvement in co-curricular experiences is one of the most important parts of having a successful college career! You will make friends, learn all about HSU, and develop invaluable skills you will use in life beyond HSU. There are over 80 student organizations to choose from. Wondering where to start? Start at the Student Organizations Fair!

COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION FAIR
Location: Garrison Center Grand Ballroom
Time: 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Join us at the Community Organization Fair to learn about how you can get involved off campus! We will have local businesses, faith based organizations and many other opportunities to learn more about Arkadelphia and surrounding areas. Pick up some giveaways, information and free food from local vendors. Come and discover how you can get involved. JIM WAND - HYPNO SHOW
Location: Arkansas Hall

Jim Wand is a legend in the field of stage hypnosis. With over 2,000+ college shows to his credit, he has become a welcome week tradition at Henderson. Seats are on a first come first served basis. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 17

COOKOUT WITH SPIRITUAL & RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATIONS
Location: Quad
Time: 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Hosted by the Spiritual and Religious Organizations. This cook-out will give you an opportunity to meet members of Chi Alpha, Baptist Collegiate Ministry, Wesley Foundation, Missionary Baptist Students Fellowship and Angelic Voices of Christ. It will also give you an opportunity to know how you can get involved with any of these student organizations. In case of rain it will be held in the Grand Ballroom.
