Traffic Regulations
Available Parking
12th Street Lot: The 12th Street Lot is located on 12th Street across from the main Smith Hall Lot area. Anyone with a valid Henderson State University decal may park in this lot, with the exception of Ridge Pointe residents.
Arkansas Hall Lot: The Arkansas Hall Lot is located on the corner of 12th and Henderson Street, across from Arkansas Hall. This lot is reserved for Henderson students and faculty/staff only. Please notice the faculty/staff row on the Henderson Street side of the lot.
Arkansas Hall Faculty/Staff Row: The row that runs along Henderson Street is reserved for faculty and staff only.
Barkman House Faculty/Staff Lot: The Barkman House Faculty/Staff Lot is located on McNutt Street behind the Barkman House. This lot is reserved for faculty/staff only.
Caplinger Lot: The Caplinger Lot surrounds the Caplinger Airway Science Center on 10th Street. Anyone with a valid Henderson State University decal may park in this lot, with the exception of Ridge Pointe residents. Please notice the faculty/staff parking in this lot.
Caplinger Faculty/Staff Lot: The Caplinger Faculty/Staff Lot is located behind the Caplinger Airway Science Center. This lot is reserved for faculty/staff only.
Dunn Recreation Center Lot: The Dunn Recreation Center Lot surrounds the Dunn Recreation Center. Anyone with a valid Henderson State University decal may park in this lot, with the exception of Ridge Pointe residents. Please notice the three spaces reserved for the night staff. These specific spaces are reserved for the Rec Center staff from 5 p.m. until 12 a.m.
East and West Hall Lot: The East/West Hall Lot is located behind East and West Residence Halls. Anyone with a valid Henderson State University decal may park in this lot, with the exception of Ridge Pointe residents. Please notice the Foster faculty/staff row that is located in this lot.
Education Center Faculty/Staff Lot: The Education Center Faculty/Staff Lot is located beside the Education Center Building on Henderson Street. This lot is reserved for faculty/staff only.
Evans Lot: The Evans Lot is located on 12th street beside Evans Hall. This lot is reserved for faculty/staff only.
Foster Hall: The Foster Hall lot consists of handicap parking.
Garrison Center Faculty/Staff Lot: The Garrison Center Faculty/Staff Lot is located next to the Garrison Center on Key Drive. This lot is reserved for faculty/staff only.
Haddock Street Lot: The Haddock Street Lot is located off Haddock Street behind the Henderson House. This lot is reserved for Henderson students and faculty/staff only.
Huie Lot: The Huie Lot is located on Brown Street next to the Huie Library. This lot is reserved for faculty/staff only. Please notice the three reserved spaces for the night staff at Huie Library. These spaces are reserved from 7:30 a.m. until 10 p.m.
Meier Faculty/Staff Lot: The Meier Faculty/Staff Lot is located behind the Henderson House and next to the Meier House. This lot is for faculty/staff only.
“New Lot”: The “New Lot” is located on 12th and Evans Street. Anyone with a valid Henderson State University decal may park in this lot, with the exception of Ridge Pointe residents.
Newberry Lot: The Newberry Lot is located in front of, and behind, Newberry Hall. Anyone with a valid Henderson State University decal may park in this lot, with the exception of Ridge Pointe residents.
Reddie Villas: The Reddie Villas located at 1100 M.H. Russell Dr, are reserved for Reddie Villa residents only. If you are a visitor of a Reddie Villa resident, please park in the visitor parking spaces.
RFA Lot: The RFA Lot is located on 12th street next to the RFA Building. Anyone with a valid Henderson State University decal may park in this lot, with the exception of Ridge Pointe residents. Please notice the two faculty/staff rows that are in this parking lot.
RFA Faculty/Staff Rows: There are two faculty/staff rows in the RFA Lot. There is a row that runs along 12th street and another row that runs along the side of the Garrison Center. These are reserved for faculty/staff only.
Richardson Street Lot: The Richardson Street Lot is located on Richardson Street behind the International House. Anyone with a valid Henderson State University decal may park in this lot, with the exception of Ridge Pointe residents.
Smith Hall Lot: The Smith Hall Lot surrounds Smith Hall. Anyone with a valid Henderson State University decal may park in this lot, with the exception of Ridge Pointe residents.
University Place: University Place parking is located across from the complex on Wilson St. This requires a Henderson State University Student parking decal.
Wells Lot: The Wells Lot is located in front of the Wells Building. Anyone with a valid Henderson State University decal may park in this lot.
Wells Faculty/Staff Lot: The Wells Faculty/Staff Lot is located behind the Wells building, directly in front of the Field House. This lot is reserved for faculty/staff only.
Ridge Pointe: The Ridge Pointe Lot is reserved for Ridge Pointe residents only. If you are a visitor of a Ridge Pointe resident, please park in the visitor parking spaces.
Ridge Pointe Residents
Ridge Pointe residents are not permitted to park on campus, with the exception of the Wells Lot, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday.
Special/Reserved Parking Spaces
15 Minute Post Office Parking: The parking spaces located next to the Post Office entrance are only 15 minute spaces.
ASBTDC (AR Small Business and Technology Development Center): This space is located on Brown Street next to Mooney Hall are reserved only for the ASBTDC Office.
Admissions Tour Parking: Admissions Tour Parking spaces are located on Presidents Drive in front of Womack Hall. These reserved spaces are only for admissions tour purposes.
Business Office: The Business Office parking space is located behind Womack Hall on McKnight Drive. This space is reserved only for the Business Office car.
Handicap: Please notice the Handicap parking spaces throughout the University. These spaces are reserved for anyone with a handicap hangtag or license plate.
Hall Director: There are several Hall Director spaces located near the residence halls. These spaces are reserved only for the Hall Directors.
Motorcycle: In most lots there are reserved spaces painted with green lines. These spaces are only for motorcycles.
President: The President’s parking space is located behind Womack Hall on McKnight Drive. This space is reserved for the President of the University only.
University Police: The University Police spaces are located behind Womack Hall on McKnight Drive, as well as in Smith Hall parking lot. These spaces are reserved only for the University Police cars only.
Visitor-Guest Parking: These lots are located at Womack Hall on Presidents Drive and McKnight Drive, on McNutt Street, and beside the Education Center. These lots are reserved for visitors from 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. If you are a student or faculty/staff, you may not park in visitors parking spaces between those hours.
