About the Exam

ACCUPLACER tests your knowledge in math, reading, and writing. These tests help identify your strengths and needs in each subject area. ACCUPLACER interactive online learning tools are available to help you sharpen your skills. Academic advisers and counselors will use your ACCUPLACER test results along with information about your academic background, goals, and interests to help you take courses that match your skill level and give you the best opportunities for success. You can prepare for ACCUPLACER by taking advantage of the study tools and resources offered. Use these tools to become familiar with the types and format of ACCUPLACER test questions. There are three parts that can be taken together or individually. All answers are multiple choice.

Cost

The cost for taking the ACCUPLACER is $20. It is important that you do your very best as your scores determine your course placement.

When you are ready to take the exam, contact the Testing Center at 870-230-5470 to make an appointment.

Exam Day

On your scheduled test date, you should arrive at least 10 minutes early for check-in. Items to bring include: Valid photo ID (Driver's license or student ID) and receipt from Business Office showing proof of pay. No other items are permitted into the testing room. An onscreen calculator will appear on the sections needed. No handheld calculators are allowed. The Testing Center will provide paper and pencils. Scores are printed immediately after the exam.
