Academic Technology is responsible for in-classroom technology to include teaching stations and smartboards as well as online learning applications such as Canvas, TurnItIn, Respondus, TechSmith Relay, Grammarly, and Zoom, just to name a few.
Canvas - Faculty: Faculty members gain access to Canvas by working through the online "Growing With Canvas" self-paced workshop. Please contact Jacob Mills at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Canvas - Students: Students gain access to Canvas and their online courses close to the start of the appropriate semester. Read more about that on the Canvas FAQ page.
Grammarly - Faculty & Students: Faculty and students are granted a license of Grammarly. Grammarly is an application that helps writers become more proficient in the art of writing. Grammarly checks for spelling errors, grammatical issues, and other common writing problems. Grammarly also has a powerful plagiarism checker.
Kaltura Capture System: Henderson's official video recording and screen capturing system. Record, upload, edit, publish videos, and more all from within Canvas or through our own Media Space webpage. For more information visit the HSU Kaltura Information page.
TechSmith Relay/Knowmia: TechSmith Knowmia, formerly known as Relay, is a lecture capture application that allows faculty members to record classroom sessions, lecture-over-PowerPoint, and voice-over-computer screens. It has unlimited possibilities. NOTE: Access to Techsmith/Knowmia will be removed in January 2022.
Teaching & Learning Center: The TLC is created by faculty for faculty. The TLC fosters a safe place for faculty to share ideas and learn new techniques to enhance teaching and learning in their classrooms. The TLC page provides additional information and resources.
