Job Description: Assistant Professor (tenure track) or Instructor, 9-month position, beginning August 2019. The position includes teaching undergraduate courses in fashion merchandising, clothing construction, and apparel quality analysis. Involvement in student recruitment, academic advising, university service, collaboration, and scholarship is expected.

In pursuit of this commitment, candidates will possess a master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Fashion Merchandising, Family and Consumer Sciences, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher education with the expectation to pursue a related doctoral degree within a given time frame. An earned doctorate or ABD status is required for the tenure-track assistant professor rank. The ideal candidate will possess higher education teaching experience and a record of excellence in teaching and scholarship. Membership in an appropriate professional organization, excellent communication skills along with organizational, technological, and human relations skills are expected.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Department: Teachers College is comprised of five departments offering undergraduate and graduate degrees: Advanced Instructional Studies & Educational Leadership; Counselor Education; Curriculum and Instruction; Family and Consumer Sciences; and Health, Physical Education, and Recreation.
