Henderson State University Facilities Management oversees maintenance for 60 buildings on the beautiful 151-acre campus. SSC has the technology and resources to systematically plan, respond to, and track HSU’s facility needs.
The physical plant provides services in the following areas:
- Building repairs
- Custodial services
- Issuance of keys
- Landscape and grounds
- Motor pool
- Recycling
Service is requested through Maintenance Connection, an online work request system. Requests submitted through Maintenance Connection are reviewed by staff members and assigned to the appropriate departments in Facilities.

Examples of requests that require immediate attention:
- Electrical failure or malfunction
- Gas leaks
- Glass replacement affecting safety or security
- Excessive hot/cold conditions
- Plumbing leaks or floods
- Roof leaks
- Door/lock malfunctions affecting safety or security
If the issue is an emergency, contact University Police at 870-230-5098 On-campus residents should contact the RA on duty or Residence Life office in Womack Hall. Building project requests should be submitted via email to facilities director. Motor pool or travel requests should be submitted to the Business Office located in Womack Hall.
