Your alma mater has faced several challenges in recent months, but Henderson State continues to be the first college choice for many high school students in Arkansas and beyond. The fall recruitment season typically sees our Admissions Counselors and Recruiters engaged in face-to-face recruitment events, including college fairs and high school visits. These in-person encounters allow our representatives to share the Reddie Spirit and show prospective students that Henderson State offers 93 majors and programs, a vibrant campus community, and opportunities for personal growth and leadership.
As a result of the coronavirus, our Admissions Team cannot currently attend these events like they normally would. They are working around the clock to recruit high school seniors in creative ways despite these challenges, but they need our help. We are calling on our alumni to support their efforts to recruit the Henderson State 2021 class.
As you gather, either in person or virtually, with family and friends over the holiday season, we ask that you take that opportunity to share about your alma mater with high school students and also to help the Admissions Team collect contact information for these students. A few basic details on these individuals will allow Admissions to begin communicating with them through their digital and print campaigns. They would love to send these students their latest viewbook and then follow up with an invitation to tour our beautiful campus over the winter break.

Still, the best recruiting tool can simply be your story. We all have that individual story of how we became a Reddie and how our alma mater helped to shape us to be where we are today from our career opportunities to the lifelong relationships we formed on this very campus.
We can all share about what the Reddie Spirit means to us and some of our cherished traditions such as the Pine Tree Speech and the Battle of the Ravine.
The Reddie Spirit was born by students banding together to rebuild our school and help mold the institution into what it is today. Help us grow the legacy of Henderson by supporting recruiting efforts of the next class of Reddies.
