Department of Music
The Department of Music presents a series of concerts commemorating the 100 year anniversary of the great fire that swept the HSU campus and gave birth to the Reddie Sprit! Each concert will remember the events of that fiery February evening in its own unique way. Concerts take place on February 26, March 2, and March 18.
The Henderson State University Opera Workshop will present
Leonard Bernstein’s musical comedy Candide on March 6, 7 and 8 in the
Studio Theatre of Arkansas Hall. This
delightful operetta is based on Voltaire’s satire about a naïve young man’s
introduction to the crueler realities of life.
It is a tale of nonsense and misadventure that is not to be missed! Performances are at 7:30 pm, and seating can
be reserved by calling the HSU Theatre Box Office at 230-5291. Tickets are
$6.00, and can be purchased at the door.
