Experience a new culture on Henderson’s annual China Trip. The 10-day trip, sponsored by Ellis College of Arts and Sciences, includes visits to Beijing, Xi’an and Shanghai. The trip is designed to expose participants to some of the major cultural centers in China and give them a better understanding of the non-western part of our global community.

Travelers will visit the Great Wall, Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Summer Palace and the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. An overnight train will take the group to Xi’an where the majority of time will be spent at the archeological site of the Terracotta Warriors. Xi’an is one of the oldest cities in China and is surrounded by a centuries-old wall. From Xi’an, the group will fly to Shanghai where they will visit the Urban Exhibition Center and the Shanghai History Museum. Free time will be given for exploring each of these cities.

For further information on the China Trip, please contact Dr. Maralyn Sommer, Dean of Ellis College, at (870) 230-5320 or sommerm@hsu.edu.
