Brian Golden and Family

Superintendent Brian Golden knows the Malvern School District well. He himself attended Malvern schools, graduating from Malvern High in 1992. He earned his bachelor’s degree in education from Henderson State University in 1996, and obtained his master’s at HSU in 2000. 

Working in the field of education, Golden has been a physics teacher, football and baseball coach, and operations administrator. He worked in those various capacities for 15 years before being hired as superintendent of Malvern schools in 2008.
In addition to his commitment to education, Golden is a member of the Malvern Lions Club and the Malvern Chamber of Commerce. He is a board member of the Hot Spring County Life Skills Mentoring Board and serves on the Hot Spring County Economic Development Commission. He holds professional memberships in the Association of Arkansas Educational Administrators, Arkansas Rural Education Association, and the American Association School Administrators.


Lacie graduated with a double major in Park and Recreation Management and Travel and Tourism Management. Her minor was Business Administration. Arkansas State Parks jump-started her career, and she has now returned to her home in southwest Louisiana where she is the new Park Superintendent over park operations.
