Residency Credit Requirement

Bachelor Degrees

Students must complete a minimum of 30 credit hours at HSU toward any earned Bachelor degree. Each subsequent Bachelor degree will require an additional 30 credit hours in residency. Thus, a student earning two Bachelor degrees (both from Henderson) simultaneously will be required to complete a total of 60 credit hours in residence. A student earning two Bachelor degrees (both from Henderson) in sequence will be required to complete a minimum of 30 credit hours in residence after the first degree is awarded. Students completing their second Bachelor degree at Henderson after completing their first elsewhere should consult the relevant academic catalog policy regarding credit given for the first degree - the Bachelor degree from Henderson will require a minimum of 30 hours in residence (additional credit hours will likely also be required). For each major nine hours must be completed in residence at the 3000/4000 level. For each minor three hours must be completed in residence at the 3000/4000 level. Only six of the last 36 credits earned toward a Bachelor degree may be transfer credits. Credits earned through HSU programs but at an off-campus location may count toward these requirements.
