Each Henderson State University (HSU) course has a four-digit number. The first digit indicates the general level of the course: 0 – remedial/below freshman level which cannot be applied to degree requirements; 1 – freshman; 2 – Sophomore; 3 – Junior; and 4 – Senior; 5, 6 & 7 – Graduate. The second and third digits identify the course within the academic department. The fourth digit specifies the credit hours.
