 The Office of Development is Henderson State University's major fund-raising department; and in the broadest sense, its purpose is to obtain gifts from the private  sector  to  advance the stated mission of   Henderson as Arkansas's  Public Liberal Arts University.  The Office of Development links Henderson with its external constituencies through the Annual Giving Program and the Office of Alumni Affairs.  Private funds obtained through the Office of Development are held in trust for the university by The Henderson State University Foundation
