Normally a student enrolled for 11 semester hours or less will not be considered a fulltime student. A regularly enrolled student is urged to enroll in at least 15 semester hours.
 
The maximum load for a regularly enrolled student is 18 semester hours. Students of exceptional ability may be granted permission to take additional hours of work. Students may not enroll in more than 23 hours in a semester, nor receive more than 23 hours credit from all schools attended in a semester.  Correspondence courses are counted in this load. Inservice teachers have a maximum load of six hours. The  maximum load for a summer session is seven hours per term.
