McNair Program components:
Workshops and seminars provide information on graduate school topics such as: selecting a graduate school, the admissions process, financial aid, library research skills, technical writing, polishing computer skills, strengthening academic skills, Graduate Record Examination (GRE) preparation and more.
Faculty research mentors help students formulate their research interests and develop their research skills.
Individualized assistance aids students with their undergraduate academic needs (planning, counseling, tutoring, GRE preparation, and application process) and helps them to identify graduate schools and special programs of interest. McNair staff also assists students in admission to graduate programs of choice.
Networking among faculty and students is highly encouraged.
Research internship is provided for each student. Students work with a faculty mentor and receive a research stipend upon completion of program requirements.
