Michael Ray Taylor, professor of mass media communication, teaches journalism, creative nonfiction, and media law. He is the author of several nonfiction books, published by Scribner and National Geographic, and over 100 articles in such venues as Sports Illustrated, Audubon, and discovery.com, the website of The Discovery Channel. He has also worked as a consultant on documentaries for National Geographic, Discovery, and the PBS series Nova, as well as two feature films.
