Administrative Specialist II - Enrollment Services and Admissions

$10.50 per hour
40 hours per week

The Department of Enrollment Services and Admissions seeks a professional, dynamic, and task-oriented individual to assist with general office operations, including data entry and processing, scanning and indexing of office files, and with providing information, assistance, and clarification to prospective students and their families regarding Admissions processes and procedures.

Essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Communicate with prospective students and their families regarding Admissions processes and procedures.

  2. Assist Admissions Processing staff with data entry during high volume periods.

  3. Scan and index student records, as well as financial documents.

  4. Establish and maintain document files.

  5. Access, enter, and maintain data in various computer systems (including POISE and EMAS).

  6. Maintain and order office supplies.

  7. Maintain activity logs and submit reports to supervisor.

  8. Compose and type routine correspondence and form letters.

  9. Perform other duties as assigned.



The successful candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, organization skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision. The candidate must possess exemplary computer skills, be proficient in Word, Excel, and Google apps, and be willing to learn new skills and information.  Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and qualify to drive on state business. At a minimum, the candidate must possess the formal equivalent of a high school diploma, plus one to two years of clerical experience. Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements.
