Job Description:  Assistant or Associate Professor Educational Leadership, nine-month tenure-track position beginning August 2018. The successful applicant will teach synchronous online courses offered as part of nationally accredited programs in educational leadership. The teaching load will include graduate courses in research methods and finance.  Additional duties include but are not limited to academic advising, research, university service, collaboration, scholarship, and other duties as assigned by the Chair of Advanced Instructional Studies and as required in the Educational Leadership program.

In pursuit of this commitment, candidates will possess an earned doctorate in Educational Administration or related field from a regionally accredited institution.   A strong record of public school administrative experience at the building and district levels is expected.  Applicants should demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of educational research methods, public school finance, facilities management, laws concerning educational issues, and the specific role and duties of an educational leader.  The ideal candidate will have higher education online teaching experience and experience in guiding student research.  Strong interpersonal skills, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills, are expected along with a commitment to the use of technology and online instruction using synchronous technologies.  The ability to plan and deliver effective online instruction and work effectively as an advisor is anticipated.

Salary:    Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Department: Educational Leadership offers programs of study leading to degrees and licensure for district leadership, curriculum leadership, building leadership, technology leadership, instructional facilitator, and curriculum program administrator.  The program has plans to offer a doctoral degree and currently offers two educational specialist degrees (Ed.S.), two masters degrees (MSE), and several graduate certificates.
