POSITION:  Assistant Professor (tenure track) or Instructor (non-tenure track) of Family and Consumer Sciences; full time, nine-month appointment beginning August 2017.

DESCRIPTION:  Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in foods/meal management, fashion merchandising, consumer education, FCS seminar, and serving as the FCS club sponsor. The successful applicant is expected to be involved in program promotion and recruitment, academic advising, university service, collaboration, and scholarship.

The candidate must have a master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Family and Consumer Sciences or related field area from a regionally accredited institution of higher education with a record of excellence in college-level teaching and scholarship. A doctorate or ABD status is required for tenure-track position. AAFCS membership, excellent verbal and written communication skills together with organizational, human relations and technological skills are expected.

SALARY:   Salary and rank commensurate with experience and qualifications.
