General Information
HSU Intramural Program has tradition with its Greek and general student participation.  Throughout the years, participation has surged to over 2,000 students and faculty/staff.  There has been excellent growth in the men’s and women’s intramural programs over the past 5 years and the activities include over 20 programs for the current students.  The continued growth of intramural activities depends primarily on student involvement.  The Intramural office is always open to suggestions and idea’s to add more variety and expansion to the program to serve the student body.

Philosophy
The mission of HSU Intramurals is to provide a variety of recreational activities selected on the basis of their contribution to the development of the whole individual; physically, socially, intellectually and emotionally.

The intramural program strives to provide programming for all levels of ability and experience.  Our aim is to serve the recreational needs of the majority of the student body and not just the athletic minority.
A competitive spirit of fair play and good sportsmanship is encouraged in order to provide all with a wholesome recreational experience.  Participants and employees are asked to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the principle’s of HSU

The Office of Intramurals is typically open from 8 am to 5 pm Monday – Friday, but may vary from semester to semester.

Schedule
Intramural activities are normally conducted Monday – Thursday from 4 pm to 10 pm.  If the need occurs, the intramural office may schedule games during other hours or days.  All cancellations of games are at the discretion of the intramural director.
