Physical Education (B.S.E.)
Physical Education, Wellness and Leisure (PEWL)
Our degree is ideal for those who want to teach the importance of physical education, wellness and leisure. Persons completing this degree will be eligible to works with students P-12. There are vast opportunities to have a fulfilling career teaching children, adolescents, and young adults how to take care of their bodies, the importance of lifelong fitness and the confident that goes along with being physically fit. This degree in PEWL is perfect for you. We will give you the skills and techniques you need to teach your students how to appreciate their bodies and understand the significance of physical activity. This degree also offers a coaching endorsement. This endorsement of seven hours will allow you to coach all levels.
Faculty
We have a very broad faculty who have coached and taught at various levels. Our facilities are state-of-the-art and we are continuing to improve as technology advances without skipping the basics.
The Results
You will have a solid degree in physical education, wellness and leisure with a coaching endorsement if you so choose that will make you very marketable. The teaching and coaching realm is very fast pace, rewarding and dynamic field.

Lacie graduated with a double major in Park and Recreation Management and Travel and Tourism Management. Her minor was Business Administration. Arkansas State Parks jump-started her career, and she has now returned to her home in southwest Louisiana where she is the new Park Superintendent over park operations.
