This major consists of a combination of courses in political science, business, and English which provides an academic background that is desirable for entry into public service careers in American national, state, and local government. It also is appropriate for students who plan to go on to graduate school in public or business administration, political science, or law.

Liberal Arts Core requirements are as listed in the catalog. However, it is desirable that the social sciences portion includes six hours of United States history.
