Media Relations
MEDIA RELATIONSThe university will follow these basic guidelines during any emergency situation:
Only an authorized college spokesperson will meet or talk with the media on behalf of the university during or following an emergency situation. Authorized persons include on the president or provost, and the director of public relations and media coordinator.
Only factual information is to be released; no speculation will be offered.
The public relations office, in conjuction with the president and other officers, will develop an institutional response to the emergency for release to the media, including periodic media updates.
