Mathematics (B.S.)

The mathematician Carl Gauss referred to mathematics as "the Queen of the Sciences". Some people believe mathematics is just algebra or graphing functions, but it is much more! It is the study of numbers and their operations, interrelations, combinations, generalizations, and abstractions and of space configurations and their structure, measurement, transformations, and generalizations.

The Program

The mathematics program at Henderson isn’t only about crunching numbers; it’s about giving you the opportunity to explore the theory behind them.  We offer an innovative selection of classes based on MAA and NCTM standards that will enhance your critical thinking skills.  You will exercise the logical side of your brain while using your creativity to solve problems and do research.
