Accounting
The Program
Our accounting program offers the training you need to earn a four-year BBA degree in accounting, become a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Arkansas, or earn an MBA degree.
In addition to the accounting course of study, the HSU School of Business has developed a variety of academic experiences to enhance your education. You will gain added knowledge and upward career mobility necessary for advancement in your career through our "Business Beyond the Classroom" program, the Mentorship Experience program, and participation in our Student Managed Investment Fund. These and many other opportunities to develop your skills and professionalism will set you apart as a more polished graduate and desired employee.
The Faculty
All our accounting professors are CPA's and most have terminal degrees. Our professors are dedicated professionals committed to providing not only information about today's accounting trends and processes, but the tools you will need to stay current in this dynamic profession throughout your career.

David Gardner, was awarded the Distinguished College or University Teacher of Mathematics Award at the 2012 annual meeting of the Mathematical Association of America. “David’s influence on students and other teachers of mathematics has been and continues to be immeasurable,” Carolyn Eoff, chair of mathematics and computer science, said in a nomination letter.
