The University Police Department is located on campus at 805 North 12th Street. University police officers are on duty 24 hours a day and can be reached by dialing (870)230-5098 or 911 for emergencies.

In case of a power failure the alternate land-line can be reached by dialing (870)245-2444 or 911 for emergencies, 


The RaveAlert System is an emergency mass notification system for sending texts, voice messages, and E-mails to the campus community in the event of a significant incident which necessitates the urgent dissemination of emergency information. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to provide their contact information through the myHENDERSON webpage and following the instructions in the Emergency Preparedness tab.

  • Log into myHENDERSON (
  • Select the "Emergency Preparedness" tab
  • Follow the instructions to update your phone numbers and E-mail addresses
  • Click "Store Modifications"

    This video, Run Hide Fight, is presented as part of Henderson States emergency preparedness initiatives and in an effort to help educate Henderson students, staff and faculty about what they can do to survive in the event of a shooter on campus.     Featuring the voices of students and professionals from campus safety, student affairs, and law enforcement, the Clery Center's Campus Authority (CSA) Training Video helps CSAs understand their rolls and responsibilities under the Clery Act.  Told through the lens of powerful narratives, this video will inspire and inform Henderson's CSAs to understand the significance of their responsibilities and the important role they play.   Click here to view the video. 


    Clery Act Disclosures

    The HSU Police Department annually distributes a document entitled Clery Annual Security and Fire Safety Report. This document serves as the annual security and fire safety report for Henderson State University in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security and Policy and Crime Statistics Act.
