East and West Halls
East and West halls are three-story residence halls that house 174 students each. These buildings offer co-ed suite style living with semi-private restrooms, a game room, formal lounge, reception area and multiple laundry rooms. If you are looking for social opportunities in the building, there are many opportunities to get to know other students by attending the numerous RA programs or hall council events. Some of these fun events include: 3 on 3 basketball, decorating fFlower pots, tye dye and self defense. These are great opportunities for you to grab your friends and have a blast without leaving the comfort of your own home.Your "new" home
When you arrive you will find that your room is furnished with extra long twin beds, a walk-in wardrobe closet, two dressers, a bookshelf, two desks, desk chairs, window blind, cable TV connection, local phone service (upon request) and a data port for internet connection. Depending the style of you and your roommate, you will have the option of bunking your beds or moving around the desks and dressers, to make room for any extra furniture you may want to bring.
Themed Housing
East and West halls offer themed floor options, allowing you the opportunity to live and socialize with others that have similar interests to yours.
The first floor of East hall is home to the "Exercise and Encouragement" themed community. Those students that request to be part of this themed community will be committing themselves to living in an environment where wellness is promoted through exercise and encouragement of physical activity. Students choosing to live in this location must participate in weekly physical activity.
The first floor of West Hall is home to the "Service and Activism" themed community. Those students requesting to be part of this themed environment are committing themselves to living in an environment where community service and activism is promoted. Students choosing to live in this location must participate in a monthly service or activism project.
The Staff
There are at least eight university staff members that live in East and West halls, four per building. Each floor has a resident assistant (RA), specially selected and trained students with the experience and knowledge to help you get acclimated to the hall and university life. On the first floor of East and West, you will find your Hall Director’s apartment. The Hall Director is there to provide an additional help you may need and is responsible for the day to day management of the building.

Henderson’s been the perfect fit. I’ve gotten lots of connections since I’ve been here. In my field, that’s how you get places.
