Bachelor of General Studies (BGS)
The Bachelor of General Studies Degree is one of the newest degree offerings at Henderson State. In the truest tradition of the liberal arts, this degree allows students an opportunity to determine their own course of study by choosing specific courses in selected areas of emphasis. Students design their own program with the help of an advisor.
The program is not for everyone but if your career goals require no specific degree for advancement, if you want to combine areas of interest into a rewarding and innovative career, or if you are preparing for a pre-program that requires only certain courses, but no specific degree (pre-law, pharmacy, etc.), the BGS degree might be the best approach.
