Advanced Instructional Studies English (M.S.E.)

The Master of Science in Education in Advanced Instructional Studies is designed to enhance the pedagogical knowledge and effectiveness of current teachers and provide them with the opportunity to grow in specific content knowledge areas of their own interest. The English Specialty consists of 18 hours in core professional education courses and 18 hours of English content courses.  For more information on obtaining an MSE in AIS, please refer to the  Master of Science in Education in Advanced Instructional Studies Handbook.

Dr. Martin Halpern, professor of history at Henderson State University, has been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to teach at the University of Munich in Germany in 2012-13.
The Fulbright Program is the U.S. Government’s flagship program in international educational exchange. It was proposed in 1945 by Sen. J. William Fulbright of Arkansas. The program sends 800 U.S. faculty and professionals abroad each year where they lecture and conduct research in a wide variety of academic and professional fields.
