Advanced Instructional Studies ESL (M.S.E.)

The Master of Science in Education in Advanced Instructional Studies is designed to enhance the pedagogical knowledge and effectiveness of current teachers and provide them with the opportunity to grow in specific content knowledge areas of their own interest. The English as a Second Language Specialty consists of 18 hours in core professional education courses, 12 hours of ESL content courses, and six hours of electives.  This program leads to an Arkansas endorsement in ESL. Matt is the director of economic development for Williamson County, Tennessee. He works to bring and maintain businesses into the county to create new jobs. Matt credits his education at Henderson and the Honors College, for preparing him for his career. “These days companies look for employees who can think for themselves, solve problems, communicate effectively, and work in teams. Every honors class I had at Henderson taught me how to do all four.”
