Every day, we live and breathe being part of the community. We’ve been the academic heart of Arkadelphia since 1890, and we take great pride in the relationship we’ve had with the local community. Every year we serve as an educational, recreational, and professional resource for local schoolchildren, families, adult learners, scientists, and business leaders.

Pre K-12 Programs
Being at Henderson State during the summer months, when the campus is alive and bouncing with local students and schoolchildren, is as cool as it gets. Each year we host things like Kindergarten Roundup, a preparatory academy, summer camps, and the Summer Institute.
Reynolds Science Center Planetarium
Henderson’s planetarium in the Donald W. Reynolds Science Center features a state-of-the-art Digitalis Gamma System digital all-dome projector system that provides an immersive 360° viewing experience to be enjoyed by students and community members alike.
Non-Degree Programs
We offer outstanding non-degree programs for adult learners and working professionals who are looking to broaden their skill sets, expand their areas of knowledge, and prepare for career advancement.
Business Planning & Resources
For Arkadelphia’s commercial and professional community, Henderson State provides a range of services for achieving greater success, including small business development, conference facilities, catering, and the Community Education Center.
Captain Henderson House Bed & Breakfast
Nothing says Southern charm quite like the Captain Henderson House Bed & Breakfast. Nestled on the Henderson campus, the Captain Henderson House is a 9,000-square-foot Victorian-era home that’s been featured in Southern Living Magazine and the Arkansas Democrat Gazette.
