Sending a son or daughter off to college can be as emotional, exciting, and daunting for a parent as it is for their child. You want them to be supported, safe, welcomed as part of a community, and given everything they need to make the most of the potential you know is there. When your son or daughter enrolls at Henderson, your family becomes a valued part of our family.

Campus Safety FAQ
We want our campus to be a safe place to learn, live and enjoy life. That's why Henderson has invested time planning and preparing for emergency situations of all kinds. You and your student can be confident that campus is a place that is, and feels, safe.
Tuition & Financial Aid
Without question, college is a major investment. But a Henderson degree will pay lifelong dividends. Our reasonable tuition and outstanding financial aid packages—which may include scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study—make a high-quality education more affordable than you may have thought.
Heart Start—Orientation
The transition to college is fun and exciting, but also tough. Heart Start, our orientation and class registration program, helps new Henderson students and their parents learn about housing, student organizations, making new friends, study skills, and effective learning strategies.
First Year Experience
More than anything, the First Year Experience program at Henderson empowers students to make the most of their time. Through this program your son or daughter will gain essential skills and access to free tutoring, leadership programs, service opportunities, cultural events, and campus activities.
Housing
Where your son or daughter will live is a huge deal for you as a parent. We get that. Each of our residence halls has everything you expect—cable TV, phone, Internet, laundry facilities. But it is also a place for to grow, to take part in hall activities, and to be supported by the Residence staff.
