2012 Battle of the Ravine

Kick-off for the Southern Bancorp Battle of the Ravine is at 3 p.m. at Henderson State’s Carpenter-Haygood Stadium, but the epic football game between the Reddies and the OBU Tigers is only the culmination of a day full of activities associated with the event.

The Southern Bancorp Battle of the Ravine Rally gets under way at 8 a.m. with a series of races. Several attractions, including bounce houses and rides, will be set up on the Henderson intramural fields near the stadium. And plenty of food and music will be provided.

Here’s a schedule of events for Saturday:
8 a.m. – Junior Auxiliary 5K Run
9 a.m. – Andy Allison Kids Run
9 a.m. – American Heart Association Heart Chase
10 a.m. – Bounce houses and rides open
11 a.m. – Sensory 2 performs on stage
11 a.m. – Aramark and Sodexo catering
12:45 p.m. – HSU alumni pep rally
1 p.m. – Drew Henderson Band performs
2:45 p.m. – C-130 flyover at stadium
3 p.m. – Battle of Ravine kickoff
7 p.m. – Block party and music at Slim & Shorty’s
