Veena Goswami Morrison

Veena Goswami Morrison is a very accomplished store manager for the JCPenney Corp.
Working part-time at JCPenney during high school and college allowed Morrison to realize early on that she had a passion for retail. The 1999 Henderson State University graduate majored in family and consumer sciences with a specialization in fashion merchandising, then accepted a position as a merchandising management trainee at JCPenney Wolfchase Galleria in Memphis. After completing the trainee program, she was promoted to her first assignment as children’s merchandiser where she fulfilled the role of sales manager and buyer.
Morrison was later promoted to sales manager at Wolfchase for one of the largest women’s apparel departments in the company. In 2002, her department had the top sales gain in the company. In 2005, she was promoted to assistant store manager, then to store manager the following year.
Morrison was then asked to open a Rogers, Arkansas store, one of twenty new prototype JCPenney stores. The store celebrated its grand opening in October 2006. Since then, she has been recognized four times as “Store Manager of the Month” and in 2010 was awarded the prestigious Chairman's Award for top sales and profit results in the Company.
