About Us

Welcome to the Henderson State University Department of Music web page. We are very proud of our students, alumni, faculty, and our long tradition of excellence! HSU is a special place – we are concerned with the success of every student, and we work very hard to help everyone develop their full potential.
The Department of Music has approximately 100 music majors and over 100 non-music majors who are studying virtually every degree offered by Henderson. Our music graduates are respected university and public school educators, composers, performers, and scholars. Our 15 full-time and 10 adjunct Music faculty members are highly successful in their individual careers, but their main focus is the growth of our students. It has always been this way – it is the Henderson Tradition.
