If it wasn’t for the spirit of a special group of students nearly 100 years ago who pledged to rebuild the Henderson campus after it was destroyed by a fire, we wouldn’t be here. Our more than 3,500 students come from across the U.S. and 21 countries; choose from associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, and specialist-level degrees; enjoy an average class size of under 20 students; and are mentored by a top-notch faculty, 96 percent of whom hold the highest degree in their fields.

The agency serves as the administrative staff for the Arkansas Higher Education Coordinating Board. It reviews and approves academic programs; administers statewide financial aid programs; recommends institutional operating, capital, and personal service budgets; and collects and reports on student and course data.
