When it comes to having heart, we take it to the extreme. You’ll see it during orientation, when all first-year students gather on the South Lawn for a class picture as they form a giant heart. You’ll sense it in the friendships you make and in the unmistakable Reddie spirit that defines our collective character. We go beyond talking about technology, investing more than $50 million in new and renovated facilities in the past decade alone. Anybody can have a mascot. We think the Reddie Spirit is way cooler and goes deeper than anything that could fit into a big furry suit. It’s a spirit born in 1914, when Henderson students decided to rebuild the fire-ravaged campus rather than go elsewhere. If that’s not school spirit, nothing is.Link to more info »

Rich and fun traditions, like Henderson’s Battle of the Ravine, are bound to grow out of 120 years of history. Our annual football game with “the school across the street” is a serious source of pride and a week’s worth of fun—and the occasional hijinks—that create memories to last a lifetime.Link to more info »
Student Rec Center
Impressive. That’s the word that best describes our $6.9 million, 48,000-square-foot Charles D. Dunn Student Recreation Center, which was just opened in 2009. You’ll enjoy endless access to three basketball courts; a climbing wall; an elevated running/walking track; and brand new fitness, cardiovascular, and weight-training facilities.
Housing
When you get to Henderson you’ll see pretty quickly that our residence halls are about much more than a place to crash. Your hall will be your “home away from home.” Each of our residence halls has its own personality, look, and feel, and is where students form lifelong friendships and create lasting memories.
Intramurals
Get in on the action. Meet new people. Have loads of fun. That’s what intramurals are all about at Henderson. Whether you’re into dodgeball or ping-pong, basketball or golf, beach volleyball or baggo, you’ll find this is a great way to tap into your competitive spirit.
Campus Dining
Caddo Cafeteria serves hot, nutritious meals three times a day during the week and twice on Saturdays and Sundays. Diners can choose from a fresh salad bar, hot lunch choice, pizza/pasta choice or a World's Fare line, which features cuisine from around the globe. Students can use their regular meal plan in the Caddo and ID card cash in both the Caddo Cafeteria and the Reddie Cafe.Organizations
Into politics? Sports? Math? Maybe you’re just into being a leader in general. Either way, no matter what your interests are, we have the student organizations that will empower you to take them to the next level. In fact, we have more than 90 of them—any of which offer a great way for you to deepen your knowledge, sharpen your skills, and make new friends.Showband
Marching band doesn’t have to end with high school. Try out for ours, the Showband of Arkansas—even if you’re not a music major. No matter what, you’ll fit right in: non-music majors make up about half of our marching band, and about 90 members are freshmen.Student Services
