Mission Statement

The Department of Curriculum and Instruction, with its dedicated and well prepared faculty, prepares and produces well informed professionals who are committed to continuous learning and the practice of pedagogical techniques aimed at the growth and learning potential of all students.   A balance of quality and equity in a liberal arts environment truly undergird every aspect of our mission.  A further idea that embellishes the mission of our department is the notion that a truly qualified teacher is an informed professional who values the differences that students bring to the classroom, and that no educator should separate students from their culture, community, or society.
