Department of Curriculum and Instruction

The Department of Curriculum and Instruction administers the Early Childhood (P-4), Middle Level (4-8) , and the Business & Technology (7-12) degree programs. 

CONTENT AREA OPTIONS 

Teacher licensure is also available in the following areas: art, English, family & consumer sciences, math, music, physical education, social studies, and Spanish. Information about these programs can be obtained by visiting those specific departments. 

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS for juniors and seniors are due March 1, 2013.

INTERNSHIP APPLICATIONS for Fall 2013 internships are due March 1, 2013. Graduation applications should be completed BEFORE submitting internship application.



OUR MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction is to prepare early childhood, middle level, and secondary candidates to become highly effective and productive teachers for P-12 schools. As a result, the department exists to develop well-informed educators who know their content, command 21st century pedagogical skills, use varied and appropriate technology to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, value the differences their students bring to the classroom, and model high moral and ethical professional standards and dispositions.
