The first theatrical performance, a farce entitled, “My Turn Next,” was presented on Tuesday, June 9, 1891, as part of the first Commencement Week activities at what was then named Arkadelphia Methodist College. The Dramatic Club grew with Henderson, was formally recognized as “Masquers” on September 15, 1925, and is generally considered the oldest student organization on campus.

Masquers is the organization for all students interested in supporting or participating in theatre productions and activities. Activities include picnics welcoming new students, student “coffeehouses” and cabaret performances, “road trips” to professional theatre productions, hosting high school workshops, and supporting Henderson’s theatre productions.
