ALPHA NU CHAPTER--HENDERSON STATE UNIVERSITY

Henderson State University is home to the Alpha Nu Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the International History Honor Society.

 

To qualify for membership, a student

1. must have 12 hours of history (a 3.0 average in those courses)

2. must have a 3.0 average in two-thirds of the non-history courses

3. need not be a history major

4. must make a $40.00 one-time membership payment; $10 local dues

 

Membership benefits:

1.    State, regional, and national conferences

2.    Opportunities for publication

3.    Scholarships to graduate school

4.    Prize awards for book publication

5.    Subscription to the The Historian, the scholarly quarterly journal of the association

6.    Automatic GS-7 rank if employed by Civil Service
