Special Case Allowances

In rare cases special allowances are made for senior and graduate students to intern in organizations where they are currently employed. The requirements for such cases are above and beyond the jobs and tasks normally performed by the employee.

It will include the "normal" undergraduate/graduate requirements plus a special project of SUBSTANCE (100 HOURS) AND OF A PROFESSIONAL NATURE. The project should be worked out between management and the intern and approved by the director.

EXAMPLE: An intern employed by a Doctors' group in Hot Springs is doing a feasibility study involving the establishment of a branch office in Hot Springs Village.  This would be complete with location analysis, cost projections, and market analysts. This is above her "normal" job.

NOTEInformation on internships and programs is maintained in a binder, titled Current Job Openings, Internships, Summer Jobs, Workshops,  located on a table outside MO 310.  It is updated weekly.  We will post any internships that come to our attention so you may have all the information we can provide to assist you in your search for a quality internship experience.
