Primary food plants: 

Larvae feed on the leaves of various shrubs and trees, including blackberry, oaks, sassafras, willows, apple trees, birches, poplars, and members of the genus Prunus. 

Wingspan:

1 - 1 3/5 in. (2.5 - 4.0 cm) 

Season:

May - October 

Description:

The body is covered with yellowish-cream hair.  Wings also are light yellowish-cream and are marked by distinct, black, wavy lines on a background of varying amounts of brownish shading.
