Welcome to the M.L.A. Program

The M.L.A. is designed to cultivate an appreciation of cultural ideas and ideals, such as truth, order, and beauty.  The program focuses on the development of critical thinking, written and oral communication, and scholarly research.

Much is afforded to the Liberal Arts candidate . . .

• Liberal arts education which challenges the mind and invigorates the spirit.

• Enthusiastic students of varied ages, backgrounds and ambitions.

• Mentoring faculty offering courses in English, history, geography, political science, art, communications, philosophy, music, and theater.

• Graduate assistantships, which include tuition waivers and monthly stipends, to teach and work on campus.
