A Bachelor of Science Degree is awarded by the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences. The Department offers a number of specializations within this degree to enhance academic competence. One may specialize in Child Care Management, Dietetics, Education, Fashion Merchandising, or Foods and Nutrition.

An Associate of Applied Science Degree is offered in the area of child care. This degree is designed to help students acquire marketable skills that may be used for certain paraprofessional jobs, for self-employment, or for personal enrichment. The program may be completed in two years. Courses included in this program provide a good foundation for further study in Family and Consumer Sciences should one decide to pursue a Bachelor's degree
